Call for job seekers

We’re excited to announce an amazing opportunity through our Employment Connections Project! This project is all about helping you discover the industry and work environment that best suits your skills, interests, and personality. If you're eager to explore different career paths and find the right fit, we'd love to hear from you!

In the first phase of the project, we want to learn about the industries and workplaces that interest you. This will help us identify the types of organisations to target on your behalf.

If you'd like to get involved or want to learn more, please fill out this form:

After expressions of interest close, we’ll be in touch to discuss the next steps.

This project is led by Down Syndrome Australia, funded through the ILC program, and delivered in NSW by Down Syndrome NSW. This project has also received additional funding through a community grant from CVGT Employment to support employment of young people, aged 16 years and over, with Down syndrome.

More info: This project complements any existing employment programs you’re involved in and is not a replacement for employment services.

For Employers

Our Employment Connections Project aims to discover the industries and careers that individual jobseekers who join the project, are most interested in.

Down Syndrome NSW then connects with employers who can host workplace inservices and visits and provide valuable insights into their field.

This project gives potential jobseekers the chance to visit workplaces, ask questions about the industries they are interested in, and learn what it’s like to work there. In return, our talented ambassadors and speakers will share with the organisation the many benefits of building an inclusive workplace. If there’s a match and a vacancy, we’ll work with the employer and relevant employment supports to make those job opportunities a reality.

If you know any employers who would like to partner with us, please email partnerships@downsyndromensw.org.au
