The Lots of Socks campaign is a global initiative designed to raise awareness and celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. By wearing fun, brightly colored socks, individuals spark conversations about diversity and inclusion, highlighting the unique contributions of people with Down syndrome. This fun and meaningful activity encourages schools, workplaces, and communities to get involved, making a bold statement for acceptance and understanding.

Get your community together to take Lots of Socks Day to the next level!
Not only will you be raising awareness and vital funds for Down Syndrome NSW, but your school or sporting group could also win an exclusive Western Sydney Wanderers experience.
Here’s what’s up for grabs:
- An unforgettable experience: a 90 minute experience including being a spectator at an exclusive training session with the Western Sydney Wanderers plus a tour of Wanderers Football Park
- Community recognition: Showcase your school or sporting groups commitment to inclusion and diversity.
Hosting Lots of Socks Day is easy and fun. We’ll support you with tailored resources, including promotional materials and educational content for students.
What you need to do:
1. Choose a date in March
2. Register your event – Sign up your school or club today:
3. Get your team involved – Encourage your sporting group to wear their socks on your chosen date and make a donation, either by bringing a coin or contributing through your fundraising page.

- Date is based on availability of Western Sydney Wanderers
- Winner is based on top fundraising school as of 30th April 2025
