Get involved
There are so many ways to engage with Down Syndrome NSW, and every contribution or gesture, no matter how large or small, creates a lasting impact to the lives of individual with Down Syndrome and their families.
Volunteer With Us
Play a vital role in our vibrant community.
The opportunities that Down Syndrome NSW provides for people with Down syndrome would not be possible without the help of our amazing volunteers.
We offer volunteer opportunities across our organisation, whether it’s participating in our UP! Club and UP! UP! and Away social events and outings, supporting advocacy and outreach efforts, or contributing your skills in areas such as administration, ITC, marketing, fundraising, media, public relations, event management, policy, education, and training.
As a Down Syndrome NSW volunteer you will:
- Be doing something you’re passionate about
- Help our members achieve their full potential
- Have a real impact in your community
- Learn new skills
- Meet new friends and like-minded people from a range of backgrounds
- Have fun!
Volunteers are required to have both an NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC). Once this information is provided via the sign up form, our staff will arrange a convenient time to chat further about your interests and availability.
